Sanah Tahiliani is a multi-hyphenate artist and Cannes Film Festival accredited actress based in New York City. She recently graduated with honors from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in Acting and credits in Business, Film, and Producing. While at Tisch, Sanah trained at the Meisner Studio, Atlantic Acting School, and Stonestreet Studios.

Sanah’s most recent and notable performance is in the short film, “Out of Water”, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival AFI World Peace Initiative in May 2023. The film was also recognized at the Global Short Film Awards where it won ‘best film’ as part of the International Cellphone Cinema Showcase.

Sanah has been described as an “actor of great depths”, who “acts from the bottom of her heart”. Other recent performances include: Clare Barron’s Dance Nation at Atlantic Stage 2, and the short film “The Other Side”, which premiered in the Lift Off Global Film Network.

In addition to acting, Sanah also works as a director and producer for Film and Theatre - currently the Associate Producer of upcoming independent feature film, Smile… The Worst is Yet to Come. Her directing work can be viewed here.

Sanah has also worked on productions with Broadway Inspirational Voices and National Black Theatre, and was a member of the Research and Development team at Artists in Action, while at New York University.

Sanah’s mission as an artist is to engage with and create work which is visually stunning, while intellectually challenging our preconceived notions about life. She strives to initiate essential conversations by interrogating the world we live in. Honesty and transparency in storytelling will allow us to have empathy for each other’s experiences, which is the catalyst for change we need.
